Digipak Inspiration:Katy B

 

 

 

 

Katy B is a leading female artist in dance/house music. Her album art for 'Little Red' experiment with colour, lighting. blurring effects  and layering. This an expected convention of a dance/house album art. This colour is bright, the blue is a stark contrast from the red colour of her hair. The album art also experiments with different camera angles so she isn't looking directly at the camera. Like previous example, there is a strong/bold font used to display artist and album name.

 

I will most defiantly use the colour experimentation within my digipak. I like the harsh contrast between the colours as it is visually enticing. Furthermore, I will possibly incorporate the blurring/layering effect of the pictures as I feel it compliments the dance genre. It will also be reflective of the 'club clips' within our piece and additionally add continuity between the album art and music video.
