Digipak Inspirtation:Jess Glynee

Jess Glynne is best known for her collaboration with deep house groups gorgon city and clean bandit. Her image is noted in the media as cool, quirky and retro. This is incorporated within her album art to create continuity. Her album cover for 'Hold my Hand', presents her centre of the frame. The picture of her highlights her cool style shown in the eye makeup and vibrate colour of both her hair and top. There is a strong/bold font central of the album cover to show both her name and the album cover name. For her album cover for 'Home', it follows a more traditional representation of a dance/house album cover. It uses vibrant colours/pattern in contrast with the monochrome. It also has sexual connotations, another aspect of dance album covers. Another feature of the album cover that follows dance conventions is the simplistic bold font used for the artist and album name.

I will be using this as inspiration for my own album cover. I like the contrast of both the monochrome and colour but also like the picture style used. I will most likely have an image of the star as the front cover and experiment with the pattern/colour fusion on the inside pockets and on the CD itself.
